Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 July 2026 — Draft, has not yet had formal legal review.

1. What we collect

Account data: email address, hashed password, and a machine fingerprint hash for each device you log into. We do not store raw hardware identifiers — only a one-way hash.

Billing data: subscription status and payment records. For Razorpay payments, this includes the amount charged and, where Razorpay provides it, a phone number captured at checkout. For QR/UPI payments, this includes the UPI transaction reference number you submit, the amount, and an optional phone number if you choose to provide one. We do not store your card, UPI ID, or other payment credentials ourselves — Razorpay handles payment processing directly, and QR/UPI payments are verified manually against your bank/UPI app's own transaction record.

We do not access, upload, or store the wedding/event photos you process in the desktop app. All image processing happens locally on your machine.

Usage statistics: the desktop app reports two aggregate numbers per device — your total project count and total number of images processed through culling. We don't collect project names, filenames, or the images themselves — just these two counts, used to understand product usage.

2. How we use it

To authenticate you, issue and validate license tokens, enforce the device limit, process and verify payments, calculate partner organization rewards (see §3), and send account-related email (verification, trial reminders, receipts).

3. Sharing

We share data only with the service providers needed to run PostShoot: Razorpay (payments), our email provider (transactional email), and our hosting provider. We don't sell your data.

If you pay for a subscription through a partner organization's QR code, we share your email address, subscription plan, and payment amount with that organization, so they can track their members' signups for their own reward reporting. We do not share your password, phone number, UTR, or any other account or payment details with partner organizations.

4. Data retention

Account and subscription data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after for billing and legal purposes. You can request account deletion by contacting support@postshoot.in.

5. Your choices

You can deregister devices, update your password, and cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Providing a phone number when submitting a QR/UPI payment claim is always optional.
